Thanksgiving Images

Happy Thanksgiving!  I know you don’t have time to read, so here are a few of my favorite Fall images before we enter the Christmas season.  Each verse reminds us of what we have to be thankful for that lasts our whole lifetime and beyond!

Here I am feeling sappy. How much this granddaughter has changed since I photographed her during their visit to our house!
So glad I pulled my car over onto a wide shoulder and took this gorgeous image with just my cell phone. We live in a beautiful area!

This trail near our house is beautiful in all seasons, but my favorite is Fall.
This trail near our house provides a changing display of a small slice of God’s creation.

This grapes were so lovely, I had to photograph them before eating them!
Special thanks to Corrie and Rodney for allowing/helping me photograph their adorable Scottish Highland cows.
I photographed this castle on the North Sea on a windy, chilly Fall day in Scotland.  Made me wonder who lived in this challenging location and why they built on the edge of the sea.
I get nostalgic when I see how our granddaughter has grown in the few short years since I photographed her and our then small puppy.
We get to enjoy God’s handiwork in the sunsets from our back deck.
From the Lutheran prayer book:
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good and His mercy endures forever.  Lord God, heavenly Father, You have created me and endowed me with all that I am or have as a pure gift of Your fatherly divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me.  You sustain me from day to day with the gifts of daily bread in the food that I eat, the family that surrounds me, the friends I enjoy, the country where I live, and countless other benefits that I constantly receive from Your open hand.  On the Day of Thanksgiving, cause me to gratefully remember the good gifts that You shower upon me.  Deepen in me the knowledge of Your goodness, and awaken my heart to praise You for all of Your gifts, especially the forgiveness of sins that You have purchased and won for me and the whole world in the atoning death of Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Keep me mindful of Your mercies every day, and grant that I may thank, praise, serve, and obey You not only with my lips but also with a life dedicated to the service of my neighbor.  To You, O Lord, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, be all honor and glory, praise and thanksgiving, now and forever.
Amen.”
